COUNTY LINE R/C MODELERS
BY-LAWS
February 26, 2009

I. NAME

The formal name of the organization shall be County Line Radio Control
Modelers, and shall be known and designated herein by the short title of CLRC.

II. OBJECTIVES
A. To promote and encourage the construction, design, building, and flying of radio
control model aircraft.
B. To promote fellowship among radio control modelers in the participation of this
activity and hobby while upholding and supporting the policies and guidelines set
forth by the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
C. To teach and instruct individuals how to fly and become familiar with and
appreciative of the hobby.

III. ACTIVITIES
Activities and functions will be scheduled according to the wishes of the membership.
Functions are regarded as, but not limited to, fly-ins, fun-flys, racing, demonstration and
instruction. Club meetings will be held as necessary. Meeting location will be designated
and determined as necessary. Membership will be notified at least one (1) week in advance
when a meeting is scheduled.

IV. OFFICERS
The officers of CLRC shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer,
Safety Officer, and Field Marshal.

V. TERM OF OFFICE
The term of office for all officers and committee members shall be for a period of one (1)
year beginning February 1 of each year. The officers will be nominated and elected at the
January meeting of each calendar year. Should any office become vacant during the year,
an election will be held at a business meeting following the vacancy, provided that all
members have been notified at least two (2) weeks in advance.

VI. COMMITTEES
The President shall ask for volunteers for committees regarding functions and
special activities. There will be one (1) committee for each activity scheduled for the
calendar year. These committees shall consist of at least three (3) members including at
least one officer of the club.

VII. MEMBERSHIP
A. Flying member
1. Be a member in good standing with the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
2. Be current in all club dues.
B. Non-flying member
1. Be an associate member.
2. Not be required to be a member of the AMA
3. Be current in all club dues or be designated as a lifetime member who requires no
payable dues for services rendered. The board will make this determination.
Junior membership, when applicable or requested, can be considered by the board.

VIII. APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
A. Any radio control modeler may make an application to join CLRC provided the
modeler meets the following criteria:
1. Announce his/her intention for membership and complete the personal information
on the application.
2. Hold a valid and current AMA membership card.
3. Be thoroughly versed in these by-laws as well as the rules and regulations set forth by
the AMA and CLRC.
4. Submit initiation fee and dues payable to CLRC with membership application.
5. Flying member is entitled to full voting privileges and a key to the entrance gate.
B. Anyone may make an application to join CLRC as an associate member provided the
person meets the following criteria:
1. Submit a membership application with the appropriate dues
2. Be thoroughly versed in these by-laws and the rules and regulations set forth by the
AMA and CLRC
3. An associate member is restricted to non-voting privileges. Key to the entrance gate
will not be issued to an associate member.
C. Profanity and vulgarity is prohibited.

IX. DUES
Dues shall be payable in the month of January of each calendar year or upon the application
for membership to the club. The amount of dues to be paid will be fixed according to the
wishes of the membership.
A. Dues structure:
1. Flying member–$65.00 per year with a one-time $35.00 initiation fee.
2. Associate member–$35.00 per year.
B. New members who join at any other point in the calendar year shall pay $5.00 per
month remaining in the year, plus the $35.00 one- time initiation fee.
C. In the event it becomes necessary to revoke or terminate a membership, the member
will be notified by the President of CLRC. Termination of the members’ privileges will
be the direct decision of the board. No reimbursement of paid dues will be made to the
terminated member. Gate key in possession of terminated member will be returned to
the President of CLRC.
D. Any changes in the dues structure of CLRC shall be proposed, discussed and voted
upon at a scheduled business meeting by members present.

X. RULES AND SAFETY REGULATIONS
All applicable AMA Rules and Regulations must be observed by club members. In
addition, CLRC Rules and Safety regulations are contained in a separate document, “Rules
and Safety Regulations for the County Line R/C Modelers.” All rules and regulations set
forth in that document must be observed by club members.

XI. BY-LAW CHANGES
Any change in the by-laws of CLRC shall be proposed, discussed and voted upon at a
scheduled business meeting. Any decision made to change the by-laws shall be based
upon the VOTE of the MEMBERS PRESENT at the business meeting
